What To gain upon entering

A sanctuary to be yourself with out any judgment

We are unlike many of the other Homesteaders you’ll come across. Here there is no room for what’s proper or normal, it would probably be more of the opposite in fact. We are defiantly on the strange and unusual side of life and embrace it completely!

Here at Home on The De-Ranged, we welcome the nonconformist, the free spirit, the oddballs and misfits, and receive them with open arms.

We encourage you to do the things you love without anyone telling you, “You can’t”. Our response to that is Always, “Watch Us”!

One of our Main goals, is to try and reuse as many materials we can. We use what others would consider trash to add character and of course, to make it unique. We’re both artists above anything, and creating this type of art has been a dream of a life time!

However the issue is, I have no idea what I’m doing! Us city folk have crossed over to the other side and brought all our creepy with us!

Join us as we raise our critters, make beautiful art work made of animal bones, explore forsaken places, construct buildings and structures from the ground up, using mostly recycled materials.

Oh, and also give you plenty to laugh along with. We strive to have fun with all that we do…even though sometimes things don’t work out the way we’d hoped.

our adventures

Bob and I often go on adventures to appease my wild side. I’m not sure if anyone else has a hanker’n  to be mischievous, but sometimes I just need some excitement!  We’ll jump in the car, load up any equipment we will need for said mission, and go hunting for whatever we run into lol. This could be anything from our camera and a flashlight to trash bags and rubber gloves.

That’s not weird at all huh? Lol

Here are some of the shenanigans we get into on our adventures, however…. they are not limited to this list

  1. Urban Exploring – Join us as we travel to abandoned cemeteries and buildings discovering the beauty of all that once was. My whole life I’ve been fascinated with dilapidated buildings and homes. And just over the last few years, I’ve fallen in love with the stunning forgotten graveyards. Some have shifted and moved due to weather over the years, and others have mausoleums that have fallen and broken into pieces.
  2. Bone Collecting – Normal couples go on dates to lovely restaurants, the movies, maybe a day of shopping and a couples massage at the swankiest Spa in town. Not us! We have a few different methods we use to collect these amazing specimens we have a great appreciation for.

Some of our Pieces

If you’re anything like us, you find beauty in all of Mother Nature and all she presents us with. We find the beauty and love in life and death of the animal.

Our hearts ache when we see animals that have been thrown away and forgotten in their death. They deserve the same respect for a proper resting area as we do as humans.

And Hell, some animal lovers will say their pet’s life would be worthy of a parade and a day named after them.

This is where we come in! We’ll honor that creature in its death and try to highlight its beauty for others to love and admire.

As macabre as it may be to some, to us it’s magical and peaceful. It has been a privilege for us to honor these animals in their death.

Glitter & Bones was quick to touch base after my order and the product shipped quickly & arrived safely/intact. I love the rat skull and the details plus the frame really brings the whole piece together. I am a rat lover but I also enjoy the macabre, so having this piece is the best of both worlds! I have SAVED the seller for future purchases! Thank you!

maggie rose farms

Now I’ve mentioned before that I grew up a “city girl”, and never one time did I believe I would have a farm and growing gardens. And moreover, to believe I would one day also be raising and breeding our own food source, yet here we are.

It began with a few perineal at our rental property and has grown to having multiple gardens throughout the farm.

But Hold On! It wasn’t just that easy.

Before we moved to the country, I couldn’t even keep a house plant alive. During the process of growing from “city girl” to a “country girl” was a hoot, and I’m still learning every day. Since then, I’ve figured out a few ways to not have a successful garden lol. However, I’ve also successfully grown flowers, plants, and veggies with so much love in my heart. We always have plans in the making to expand and build more, so this is why to subscribe today! Don’t miss any of the fun!

We have just a few critters at present, with plans of chickens and quail soon to come!

  • Rabbits (TAMUK)
  • Snakes ( Ball Pythons)
  • African Soft Furs “The Addam’s Family”
  • Cats (ALL OF THEM ARE CRAZY)
  • The best Guardian Dog in The Land, and the most emotional Husky, Sasha

Meet our crazy

My name is Jackie Graham and Bob is my husband, but we call him Papa Bones. Together we make up the creepiest homesteading duo you’ve never seen! We are the quirky, spooky, and all together ooky, that one could never imagined.

We’ve since turned our little asylum into an investment property, homestead, and home to a few more little nuggets in the future on Maggie Rose Farm.

But we’re not your average farmers!

Bob and I are also collectors of oddities and curiosities, and are artists, and creators as well.

Now we’re running around here like crazies growing veggies, and raising our own food!

Somehow, the Universe allowed for this magic to occur, in which twin flames were brought together to create some absolute madness!

Come along as we walk you (or trip you) through our latest creations, projects, sometimes blunders, but always entertaining, way ’round here. We’ll share with you ways we’ve recycled materials in some pretty creative ways! From clearing land, to building animal hutches, and beyond!

don't miss out on the craziness

The beacon has been lit to attract all our fellow weirdos!

Join in the fun and find yourself feeling like you fit right in, as part of our strange little tribe full of misfits! Here, we’re all family
